Norman Scheel joined The Hoffman Company in 1989 and remains one of the firm's top brokers with total closings in excess of $2.5 billion. Mr. Scheel acquired the firm in 2005 from founder Byron Hoffman and is currently co-owner with partner Tom Dallape. With more than 33 years in the business, Mr. Scheel has played a role in the closing of over 90,000 residential units throughout California. During this career, Mr. Scheel has enjoyed a professional relationship with California's leading homebuilders, land developers and financial institutions.
As President of The Hoffman Company, Mr. Scheel has led the firms' expansion by opening offices in Nevada and Northern California.
Mr. Scheel has been a panelist and guest speaker at numerous real estate conferences throughout California.
Mr. Scheel has served on the Board of Directors for United Cerebral Palsy and is currently on the Advisory Board for the University of La Verne College of Business and Public Management.
Tom is a 32-year veteran and co-owner of The Hoffman Company. Tom is regarded as one of the top land experts in his field during his 30+ year career. His specialties include land for homebuilding, multi-family, industrial, and investment in Southern California. Tom has closed major land sales throughout Southern California in San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and Ventura Counties.
Tom is a member of the Board of Directors of Western Community Housing (WCH) a non-profit housing provider with over 7,500 units and 12,000 residents. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban Land Planning from the University of Southern California and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in both California and Nevada.
Graham Gilles has specialized in residential and commercial land sales in both the Inland Empire and Urban Infill markets for over 20 years. Graham is regarding as one of the leading land brokers and prides himself on getting the best results for his clients. His areas of expertise are in providing expert brokerage services, property valuations, research and market data, client relations and managing transaction to their successful conclusions.
Prior to joining the Hoffman Company Mr. Gilles was a Financial Analyst at Highpointe Communities from 1995 to 2000. During his tenure he was also involved in the processing of in excess of 5,000 lots and over 500 apartment units. This past experience brings a unique skill set to the brokerage side of the business.
Graham attended UCLA and was a member of the men’s tennis team. He also completed the Light Construction and Development Management Certificate Program (LCDM) at UCI.
In 2017 and 2020, Mr. Esayian was awarded the “Top Producer”, having generated the highest grossing commissions among all brokers at The Hoffman Company.
Since 2005, Mr. Esayian has successfully transacted in excess of 18,000 lots, 1 million SF of commercial space and over 8,000 acres. Mr. Esayian specializes in representing Sellers of residential, multi-family and commercial land holdings throughout Southern California’s Coastal and Inland Markets.
Mr. Esayian’s experience includes providing strategic guidance to clients on all types of land and existing commercial real estate, predominantly for ground-up residential development. In addition, he has advised on the sale of specialty-use properties, pooled debt portfolio transactions, infill assemblages, and luxury estate properties.
Mr. Esayian is active in the following Counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura.
Mr. Esayian is an Eagle Scout and a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
Since joining The Hoffman Company in 2008, Cameron has successfully transacted over 10,000 lots and nearly 100 units of standing inventory. Cameron has specialized in representing buyers and sellers of residential land holdings throughout Northern California, with a specific focus on the Bay Area. His expertise in facilitating complex transactions that maximize the land sellers’ returns on some of the largest development projects in Northern California is unmatched. Furthermore, Cameron’s experience includes providing strategic guidance to clients on large master planned communities, challenging infill assemblages, and land planning.
In 2016, 2018, and 2019, Cameron was awarded the coveted, “Top Producer” award, having generated the highest grossing sales among all brokers at The Hoffman Company.
Mr. Christianson joined The Hoffman Company in 2004 as a land broker, and in 2016 promoted to Senior Vice President, specializing in residential single-family & multi-family, industrial, commercial, and hospitality land acquisition/disposition in the Coachella Valley submarket. Mr. Christianson provides brokerage and advisory services to land owners, developers, homebuilders, and capital groups. His primary duties include marketing, financial valuation, due diligence support, and contract negotiation.
Mr. Christianson has been directly responsible for expanding The Hoffman Company’s market share substantially in the Coachella Valley region. He has become the leading broker there by closing nearly 200 notable transactions in this region over the last 20 years. In the years of 2021, 2022 & 2023, Mr. Christianson was awarded the “Top Producer” agent at the firm.
Mr. Brislin joined The Hoffman Company in the fall of 2009, and as of winter 2023 has closed in excess of $450,000,000 worth of development deals. Prior to his start at The Hoffman Company, he was a Title Officer (T.O.)/Asst. VP at Fidelity National Title Insurance Company for seven years where he was the lead subdivision T.O. for the major homebuilder accounts, including SunCal Cos. who at that time was the largest master developer in the western region of the United States. Bryant also worked as a commercial title officer on various asset classes, such as office, hospitality, industrial and retail properties. In March of 2012, Mr. Brislin was awarded the prestigious Larry Webb Leadership Award by the Urban Land Institute (ULI) of Orange County/Inland Empire. He currently serves as the assistant vice chair of the Housing product council for the ULI. Bryant has worked to become an expert on both the urban infill markets of Los Angeles, as well as the residential suburbs of the Inland Empire, Ventura County and Southern California in general.
Zach dually specializes in advising on tower and wireless infrastructure related sales across the United States, along with the brokerage of residential and commercial land in Southern California.As a leading M&A advisor in the telecom infrastructure space, he has an extensive history of dealmaking and transactional success. His real-time knowledge of the market, current trends and future landscape are all unrivaled in the telecom industry. Zach’s client profiles include REITs, private equity funds, broadcast station owners, family offices, universities, municipalities and private “mom and pops”. On the land side, he is involved in the acquisition / disposition of residential, commercial and industrial projects. He takes a results-driven, relentless and positive approach to each transaction and enjoys creating bonds with his clients. Zach’s expertise spans across Southern California; covering the counties of: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura. Zach graduated from Portland State University, was a scholarship athlete on the football team and received Academic All-American honors both his junior and senior years.
Sarah joined The Hoffman Company as a Broker Associate in 2014 and has since closed more than $65,000,000 in land deals, encompassing 2,000+ units from single family to podium type product. She represents private landowners, and local farming families selling direct to both private and publicly traded Homebuilders. Although Sarah’s expertise is in residential land development, she is well versed in commercial and industrial land as well.
Sarah’s background begins in Southwest Riverside. She comes from one of the original pioneering families (The Motte Family) who farmed much of the Perris Valley in the late 1800’s. Over the years those alfalfa farms turned into land sales and later into developments. This background has provided Sarah with invaluable knowledge and experience of the Inland Empire. She has relationships with local landowners and is well respected by land consultants, environmental groups, appraisers, law firms, and key political figures throughout Riverside County. Sarah also manages her family’s assets which include residential, commercial, industrial land, and the Motte family’s classic car museum, which she helped establish as a nonprofit 501© 3 in 2008- mottemuseum.com
Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Point Loma Nazarene University and holds her California Real Estate Brokers License. She is an active member of the Building Industry Association, and the Urban Land Institute for both the Orange County and Inland Empire chapters. Sarah has traveled to over 12 countries throughout the world, enjoys snowboarding, and loves to play golf. Today she resides in Riverside with her husband Ryan, and their son Conrad.
Justin specializes in multifamily investment and development brokerage and advisory services. He leverages his many years’ experience on the principal side of real estate investment and development with some of Southern California’s most prolific multifamily investors and developers. Justin has touched all aspects of multifamily investment and development prior to joining The Hoffman Company. Therefore, he is uniquely well-suited to provide to clients a perspective uncommon in the brokerage industry as to how to optimize the value of their property in the marketplace.
During his career, Justin has supported acquisition and directed development of over 2,000 units while Development Director and was the central figure in the underwriting and acquisition of thousands of multifamily and single-family units while Senior Analyst and the underwriter for major investment management firms and their institutional partners such as Blackstone, LACERA, LACERS, and PGIM. In 2020, one of Justin’s projects (Broadstone Arden) was honored with the Pillars of the Industry award for “Best Apartment Community (Under 5 stories)” by the National Association of Home Builders.
Jim is a 30 year veteran of the Southern California residential development industry. He specializes in locating residential infill development opportunities in Orange, Los Angeles, and San Diego Counties. Mr. Gallagher also provides valuation, and due diligence services to his clients relying on his experience in the Southern California land market. Prior to working in the residential land brokerage business Jim was employed for 15 years by land development and homebuilding concerns including The Irvine Company and The Mission Viejo Company.
Kyle has been a Land Broker with The Hoffman Company for five years working in the Nevada market. Prior to joining The Hoffman Company Kyle worked in project management for one of the largest privately held multi-family developers in Nevada. He helped deliver 1,100+ market rate and LIHTC units to the Las Vegas market during his time there. His specialties include land acquisition for homebuilding, multi-family, industrial, and investment throughout northern and southern Nevada.
Kyle holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno and is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Nevada. Kyle is a native Nevadan and enjoys many of the active outdoor pursuits Nevada offers including skiing, camping, and enduro motorcycle riding. When not partaking in his hobbies Kyle fills his free time with philanthropic work through organizations such as Next Gen Council and The Nature Conservancy.
